In the Paulinenstraße in Berlin-Lichterfelde the residential buildings no. 24-28 were built by the architect Gustav Lilienthal, the brother of Otto Lilienthal. They look like little castles. Overall, he built from 1892 to 1900 about 30 of these villas, 22 have been preserved in Lichterfelde, 16 of which are listed buildings.

The castle is really worth seeing. Built in the Tudor style, it was a totally unexpected sight for me.

The neighborhood between Drakestraße, Finckensteinallee and Ringstraße is characterized by many residential buildings that are reminiscent of castles. Crowned with turrets and battlements, wooden drawbridges and partly lushly overgrown, they look like enchanted fairytale castles. The "Castles of Lichterfelde" were created by Gustav Lilienthal.

Extraordinary buildings by Gustav Lilienthal. Some of the small castles have indicated drawbridges in the entrance area. Gustav probably had a preference for that.
