The church, located in a picturesque place on a hill, was erected in 1825 as a church at the expense of the owner of these lands, Prince Adam Czartoryski, and then transferred to the Orthodox community. The architect who built the temple was inspired by examples of St. Petersburg classicism, although the building also has Baroque features. The church managed to survive the Soviet era and the wars of the 20th century. and it has survived to this day in its original form.
