The Albut estate, located in a picturesque place in the forest, was the fourth place of service of the poet’s father, Mikhail Mitskevich, as a Radzivil forester. Yakub Kolas lived here from 1890 to 1902. It was here that the future poet learned to read, from here he went to a public school in the village of Mikolaevshchina, and also wrote his first poem. In 1990, in a restored hut, an exhibition based on the poem “New Land” was created.
