The royal tomb (grave 6) is one of the largest and best-preserved megalithic tombs in the entire Altmark. Originally it consisted of about 60 stones, of which 50 stones have been preserved. The passage grave is 35.1 m long and from 5.8 to 8.5 m wide.

An incredibly fascinating place.

It is fascinating what people built many years ago. The megalithic tombs were created more than 5,000 years ago. In Altmarkkreis Salzwedel 43 tombs are still preserved in a small space. This is unique in Europe in terms of density.
