A worthwhile destination for a tour or for a detour off the main route. Traismauer, which lies on the Traisen, is only a few kilometers from the Danube. From the mouth of the Traisen, the Traisental cycle path heads south to Traismauer. The path leads through alluvial forests and is pleasant to cycle on.
Traismauer is a charming little town that has a lot to offer both culturally and scenically. It is particularly interesting because of its Roman past, the historical buildings and the idyllic location in the Traisental wine-growing region.
