Walking in Babbelbeekse Beemden

Babbelbeekse Beemden is part of the Grote Boshoek landscape park that connects nature reserves in Lier, Boechout, Lint, Duffel and Kontich. It is a small nature reserve at the confluence of the Aarkelloop and the Babelsebeek, on the border of Duffel and Lier. The valley forms a natural flood plain, which has already saved the nearby residential area De Beunt from a lot of water misery.

The area is freely accessible to walkers on the walking paths
We prefer not to have dogs in the area so as not to disturb the ground-nesting birds such as lapwings and snipes. Deer are also chased away or leave their calves to their fate.
Dogs are welcome on the red walk.
