From the forecourt of the Theresienstein building, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city of Hof. The skyline is dominated by the towers of St. Michael's Church and the town hall. Hof currently has a population of almost 47,000 and is, in many respects, the center of northeastern Upper Franconia.

The roots of the city lie in the two settlement centers, the historic old town and the classicist new town. With the Theresienstein Citizens Park and the Untreusee, Hof has two popular local recreation areas within the city area. The cultural offering consists of the Freedom Hall, the largest event hall in northeast Bavaria, the Theater Hof, a four-part theater, the Hof Symphony Orchestra and music cycles from the two large city churches of St. Marien and St. Michaelis. The Hof Zoo, the Botanical Garden and an observatory offer further leisure activities. The city is internationally known for the Hof Film Festival. Tourism is also important in Hof; the city has more than 160,000 overnight stays every year.

A very great park even with a dog. Very spacious, there are dog off-leash areas and you don't have to keep the dog short all the time, even when the park is "full".
