Thull - In Belgium he is called the lord of the castle, but Gerjan Schijlen prefers to be a gardener. He is starting a new wine estate in Thull with Wijnlandgoed Sterreheim. A major job was completed in May 2023 with the planting of 45,000 vines.
Considering the grape varieties that Wijnlandgoed Sterreheim has planted, Thull will become a richer Burgundian vineyard. There are three white grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris.

Gerjan Schijlen and his team are currently working on five hectares, on which they have planted 50,000 vines. "The poles are 1.40 metres high and the space between the rows is 1.30 metres.
