The Segringer Friedhof is characterized by the uniformity of the tombs. Unfortunately, there are no reliable sources about the origin of the wooden crosses on the graves. The Segringer cross with its carved and painted decorations dates from the period 1800 to 1820, but maybe not until the middle of the 19th century. Presumably, similar grave crosses were also common in the surrounding cemeteries in the past, or a custom was deliberately begun that is also lived in religious communities and monasteries.

On the crosses, the profession and place of residence are indicated after the first and last name. Altsitzer describes a farmer at rest. The age is specified exactly to the year, month and day. On the back is the Bible verse that was preached about at the funeral. Usually this is the confirmation saying. Until the grave gets its stone border, with which the grave cross is also attached, a small cross indicates the deceased person.
