The pictorial palace was once the seat of the city rulers and is now an important protocol building and town hall.
The palace, which is considered one of the noblest palaces in Koper, never ceases to amaze its visitors with its elegant appearance and colorful history.
The Praetor's Palace closes the southern side of the central town square - Titov trg square. The palace was built in the 13th century and got its present appearance in the mid-15th century. The styles of late Gothic - Renaissance and Venetian Gothic prevail on the building. The palace is adorned with an external staircase, an external balcony, a characteristic facade and a statue of Lady Justice with her sword, while the history of Koper is engraved in several decorative coats of arms.
The palace was last renovated in 2001.
Today, on the ground floor of the palace you will find the Tourist Information Center (TIC) and an old pharmacy.

The Praetor's Palace is considered one of the most popular attractions for city visitors from around the world, which is why it has received TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence several times.
