One of the Palatinate Forest Association's more than 300 knight's stones is located here.
It is the right of two large sandstone blocks of the destroyed weir of the former Franzenwoog and is located next to the Hochspeyerbach - almost directly under the railway bridge (at a level crossing with traffic lights). It is very hidden, so you have to climb down to it at St. Andrew's Cross. The street cleaners mown it clean wonderfully! Thanks! (As of: Aug. 2022)

At the end of the French Valley, directly at the railroad crossing between Frankenstein and Hochspeyer, lies this Ritterstein Franzosenwoog. Earlier it was drunk on the Hochspyerbach. In order to water the water, ponds were created. Formerly here was the largest Palatine Triftklause on Franzosenweg, today there is no dam to see, no hermitage and only remains of a overgrown weir with the inscription "Franzosenwoog".
