The Weimar National Assembly met here in the DNT from February 6, 1919 to May 21, 1920. The official German National Assembly was the constituent parliament of the Weimar Republic. Until September 1919, the conference location was Weimar, not the politically heated imperial capital Berlin.

We were also in Weimar on July 5, 2019 with 6 cyclists. With the bike on hand we got in contact with a guided tour group. Looking at our hunched movement, the group leader said: "Weimer is not a good place for cyclists."
Weimer also have bad memories of that because the tourist information on the market denied us the absolutely necessary charging of our batteries with stupid arguments such as "Our batteries are not approved for charging pedelecs". Only Goethe and Schiller are not enough! Ulrich
