The construction of the building dates back to the 18th century. The construction of the complex was commissioned by Abbot Filippo Farsetti, who, a lover of the classical world, decided to dedicate his life to the study of arts and architecture.
The Villa was built in Rococo style, and is composed of a central body to which two smaller buildings are connected by porticos.
Although the Abbot received large sums of money, he managed to only partially decorate his palace, among the elements that remained intact after years of abandonment, which can be admired are the columns in precious marble that adorn the porticos.
Today the Villa houses some municipal offices, but more importantly it is the setting for events of various kinds, art and scenography exhibitions, theatrical, cinematographic and musical events. It is also possible to visit the park and the library.
