Bond Brook Recreation Area is a hidden-gem right in the heart of Augusta, Maine, near the local airport. The recreation area has a dense system of multi-use trails that are open all year round. In the spring and summer you can hike, jog, and ride mountain bikes, and in the winter the town grooms the trails for skiing and snowshoeing. There's plenty of free parking on the side streets surrounding the area, but there are no toilets so come prepared.
