The 445-hectare Mount Pisgah Conservation Area is owned by the Kennebec Land Trust. The property on the forested summit (246 m) with the Mount Pisgah Fire Tower belongs to the city of Winthrop. The former Maine Forest Service fire tower was in operation from 1949 to 1991 and is open to the public. The tower offers a spectacular panoramic view; on a clear day you can see Mount Washington in the White Mountains to the west and the Camden Hills to the east.
