The Märzenbronnen (also Märzenbrunnen or Märzenbronn) in the Burladinger district of Salmendingen on the Swabian Alb is a temporary lake that forms in some years when the snow melts. It is then located in a small depression at around 770 m above sea level. NHN in the immediate vicinity of the Kornbühl, from which the inflow essentially comes. The Märzenbronnen is fed by springs from three valleys, the Junginger Tal, the Hellenburren valley and the Hinteren Tal. The lake has a storage area of around 2.5 hectares and a storage volume of around 25,000 cubic meters. Its creation is facilitated by a small road embankment that accumulates the water on the east side of the lake up to a certain height. The overflowing water flows into the Woog, which is absorbed by the Lauchert at the Melchinger Mühle.
