The Rheinenergiestadion (proper spelling RheinEnergieSTADION), formerly and in common usage also Müngersdorfer Stadium, is a football stadium in the Müngersdorf district of Cologne and the venue of 1. FC Köln. Through a sponsorship agreement, it has borne the name of the Cologne energy supplier Rheinenergie since 2004 (source: Wikipedia).

The Müngersdorfer Stadium is one of the most beautiful and impressive stadiums in Germany. The four steel towers represent an architectural highlight.

Cologne's old town and the banks of the Rhine with numerous pubs and bars make Cologne a very attractive trip away. So it's worth staying in the cathedral city for longer than a day.

The stadium capacity is 50,000 seats for national games.
