The Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Piedade in Odeceixe is a white village church dating from the 14th-15th centuries, later enlarged in the 16th century. It has a simple, typical Algarve appearance with a Manueline triumphal arch and contains valuable religious artworks, including a silver crown from 1564. The church stands on an elevated site in the village and is still in use.

The church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade in Odeceixe was built between the beginning of the 14th century and the end of the 15th century.

Over time, impressive restoration works suffer. There are still good traces of the time of King John II, ie the works that were carried out in 1527.

It is believed that the extensions of the church between the 16th and early 17th centuries determined the dimensions of today's building.

Although their altarpieces were repainted and their true artistic value changed, the interventions returned their faithful and visiting visitors to the ancient triumphal arch with Manueline features, which was installed in 1527 and later modified in 1565.

The magnificent crown of Our Lady of Mercy, patron of Odeceixe, was commissioned in 1564/1565 to be engraved in silver and a material of the same material from the end of the 17th century among other crowns, goblets and patens.
