The Altenberger Pinge (also Altenberger Binge) is a Pinge in Altenberg in the Eastern Ore Mountains that was created by mining for tin stone. The main rupture occurred in 1620. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Pinge only had an area of around 2.5 hectares. Especially from about 1976 it was significantly expanded by intensive ore mining. Today it has an average diameter of 400 m, a depth of about 130 m and an area of about 12 hectares. Here you have an impressive view of the Pinge.
