Kritsa is a nice little village that got a big tourist boom in the 50s of the 20th century. This is where Jules Dassin's film was shot based on Nikos Kazantzaki's book "Greek Passion". Today you can find various small shops that offer handmade tablecloths and other things, as well as many small taverns.

A very beautiful, small and tranquil mountain village with access to the hiking trail into the Kritsa gorge. The most famous attraction near Kritsa is the church of Panagía i Kerá. In addition to agriculture, the residents earn their living mainly by selling handicrafts. Here you can buy very beautiful handmade souvenirs and not mass-produced items from China. 👍
