The church at Dröda ...

is a small village church from Diabasmauerwerk. It stands directly below the dam of the built from 1964 to 1971, 18 million cubic meters Feilebachtalsperre (drinking water dam).

The current church was consecrated on October 23, 1887. The old church has gone up in flames trying to get a hot air balloon up.

About the history of the place

The community has a varied history behind it. The place belonged in the 16th century to the parish of Planschwitz and was later long time associated with Bösenbrunn. Since the mid-1980s Dröda with the two sister communities Bobenneukirchen and Wiedersberg (including Heinersgrün) together.

Since 1 January 1996, these three are now to a community called Ev.-Luth. Parish of Bobenneukirchen. Now it is important - in this community and also within the sister organization with Eichigt and Triebel / Posseck / Sachsgrün to cultivate and develop their own, as well as to participate in the common.

Dröda has a very beautiful church, has young families and people who have learned to deal with many changes. All this should be able to grow. You are welcome to build community.
