Fifty representatives of Upper Swabian farming groups met in this house in 1525. After deliberations, they adopted the twelve articles and the federal regulations. However, the goals of the Twelve Articles could only be implemented with the revolution of 1848/49.

The Kramerzunft House in Memmingen in Upper Swabia is a listed building from the 15th century. The assembly of the rebellious peasants in the German Peasants' War took place there, in which they laid down their demands in the Twelve Articles and the Federal Order. The farmers' action is considered the first constitutional assembly on German soil and one of the earliest declarations of human rights. The house has the addresses Weinmarkt 15 and Kreuzstraße 15.
The house is located in the traffic-calmed area of Memmingen's old town. The north side faces the Weinmarkt, the south side faces Kreuzstraße. To the west, the house borders the Roßmarkt to the east. The Memminger Aach, which is known as the Stadtbach within the city walls, runs directly along the west side.
The house was owned by the artist Ivo Strigel from 1462 to 1478. From 1479 it belonged to the Kramerzunft. In 1512, they had a large hall set up on the second floor. In 1525, the city of Memmingen made the house available to the Upper Swabian peasantry as a meeting place. There they articulated the Twelve Articles and the Federal Order. After the guilds were abolished in 1803, the house was privately owned and was converted and used for residential and commercial purposes. In the 21st century, the Memmingen District Craftsmen's Association acquired the building and renovated it.

For this renovation, the Memmingen-Mindelheim District Craftsmen's Association was awarded the Monument Protection Medal of the Free State of Bavaria in 2008. There are retail businesses on the ground floor, and the District Craftsmen's Association uses the upper floors. In 2020, the Kramerzunft House was named one of the "Places of Democracy in Bavaria" by the Bavarian State Parliament, along with twelve other places. On the recommendation of a scientific advisory board, the aim is to make the locations where Bavarian democratic history was written visible in public spaces with a memorial object.
