The Plettenkeller is a nature reserve designated by the Tübingen Regional Council on December 5, 1984, within the municipalities of Ratshausen, Dotternhausen, and the town of Schömberg in the Zollernalb district.
The Plettenkeller Nature Reserve is located approximately one kilometer northeast of the town of Ratshausen. It is part of the Hohe Schwabenalb natural area. The protected area encompasses the steep southern slope of the Plettenberg.
The nature reserve is part of the Eastern Großer Heuberg FFH area and the Southwest Alb and Upper Danube Valley bird sanctuary.
