The octagonal Gemsbrunnen dates back to 1861. It is one of the largest fountains in the city. The cast iron chamois of the fountain were created by the sculptor Heinrich Rudolf Meili (1827–1882).

The Gemsberg, an alley with old buildings. The restaurant "Löwenzorn" offers beautiful paintings on the outside and hearty meals inside. The Gemsbrunnen on the small square is made of Solothurn limestone and dates from 1861. For transport into the city a hole had to be made in the city wall! The No. 30 is the "backseat" to the Teufelhof. Those in need of a little refreshment are in the right mood in the bar or wine bar of the Teufelhof.
