Artisanal brewing meets seasonal cuisine: The new Störtebeker brewery inn at Markt 13 in Greifswald more than lives up to its name. “In addition to the entire variety of Störtebeker brewing specialties, including 6 beers on tap, our guests can also expect appropriate cuisine made from regional ingredients,” reveals brewery inn manager Eric Förster. Food pairing, i.e. the combination of dishes with corresponding beers, is a matter of the heart for the beer sommelier. “We recommend the right brewing specialty for every dish on the menu, for example herring fillet with Atlantic ale, crispy veal schnitzel with asparagus with Übersee-Pils and vegetarian Melanzane burger with Bernstein-Weizen,” says Förster. The beer sommelier recommends the malty, roasty strong beer with the white chocolate mousse.
