The term mole refers to an embankment extending into a lake, river, or sea, reinforced by a stone or concrete structure.
The harbor is located on the north side of the Bodstedter Bodden lagoon and has 18 berths. The small marina has a water depth of approximately 1.5 meters, modern sanitary facilities, a barbecue area, and a swimming area directly at the harbor. A charter trip on a traditional Zeesenboot (a type of fishing boat) is highly recommended.

The highlight described here marks the north pier, which extends significantly further into the Danish Wieck than the east pier on the right. From here you have a beautiful view over the Danish Wieck, to Ludwigsburg and, in good weather, as far as Rügen. At the head of the pier there is the pier light and several fields where love locks can be attached.
