Small but beautiful forest that is intersected by the Smoorbeek.
This stream originates near the Balei (the highest point of Sint-Lievenshoutem, where the statue of "The Roman") is located) and flows into the Molenbeek in Ottergem.
Natuurpunt is trying to piece together the patchwork of lakes, forest areas and fields through land consolidation, expanding existing forests and planting new forests.
They are also working to have the whole area recognized as a nature reserve.
A path runs through part of this grove, towards Ottergem, with a few challenging / adventurous obstacles for children.
