If you want to avoid the provincial road, you can divert through the streets of the ancient hamlet of Ombriano, located on the top of a hill. From here, a steep descent, partly on concrete and partly on dirt, leads to an almost flat valley floor. The area is crossed by numerous streams and torrents (hence the name Val delle Melle). Very beautiful is the ancient mill with structures from the 1500s where a refreshment point has also been opened (check opening days). To get back on the SP 50 you have to climb a bit of altitude but it's worth it.
