The bridge construction work was carried out by the Ukmergė County Board, which hired J. Lujanas and D. Chenkinas as contractors. The bridge was built by about 50 workers from the town of Čiobiškis and the surrounding villages. During the grand opening, the bridge was named after the pilots Steponas Darius and Stasios Girėnas. The declared length of the bridge is 28.2 m, the total width is 6.6 m, the width of the carriageway is 5.5 m, the width between the arches is 5.9 m, the height from the average water horizon - 5.8 m, carrying capacity - 13 t.
Although it may appear that this bridge was assembled from reinforced concrete structures, there is a good chance that it was quite different. The Čiobiškis bridge itself is not unique, its construction is typical of bridges built at that time in Lithuania and other countries. As can be seen from the available photos of that time, first the wooden frame of the bridge was made, the metal structures were installed, and then the product was filled with concrete.
