South Signal Mountain lies just south of Signal Mountain and is 14 feet shorter at 11,248 feet. Both mountains have well-maintained trails, good all-year round access, and grant great views of the Mummy Range and Rocky Mountain National Park from their summits. South Signal Mountain is accessed just off the main trail via a short unofficial spur trail. There is a small bit of scrambling required over some rocks and boulders to reach the summit. If you continue past South Signal Mountain on the main trail you will eventually cross into far northern border of RMNP and reach a collection of lakes below the Stormy Peaks and Sugarloaf Mountain.
