The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial is an American military cemetery and monument in memory of the American soldiers who died during the Normandy landings during World War II. There are 9,387 American soldiers buried here.
This made quite an impression. All white crosses of the graves perfectly aligned. The blue sea in the background. Everything was kept perfectly... grass perfectly mowed... the crosses cleaned.
the museum at the beginning of the cemetery was also very impressive. Especially at the end when the names of all the fallen soldiers were mentioned in the hallway.
So many lives died for our freedom...goosebumps...
