The so-called 'Ripsmuer (Muer Moor) lies in a valley in the Marsh Forest. This is a swamp and moor area consisting of three parts.
A large part of the valley is covered by a large sedge swamp. In addition to numerous clump- and carpet-forming sedges such as beaked sedge (Carex rostrata), bladder sedge (Carex vesicaria) and slender sedge (Carex acuta), there are numerous marsh irises (Iris pseudacorus), a pond horsetail (Equisetum fluviatile), the swamp willowherb (Epilobium palustre) and the large areas of swamp forget-me-not (Myosotis scorpioides) and swamp bedstraw (Galium palustre).
