    Often referred to as Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland, the Mullerthal Region - or Mëllerdall in Luxembourgish – owes its name to its hilly landscape reminiscent of Switzerland. The region is above all a unique biotope characterized by sandstone rock formations which are as beguiling as surprising. It is the unique composition of the rock and soil erosion that have contributed to the creation of this landscape so typical for the region. The diverse natural and geological heritage makes the region so special. Therefore, the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall was founded in 2016. The combination of Nature and Geopark speaks for the special meaning and protection of the landscape. Today, Luxembourg's Little Switzerland attracts tourists from near and far away.

            after having enjoyed the first time at the refuge I was only able to resign myself for the fourth time. Again and again the good voice of Komoot wanted to lead me somewhere where I really did not want to go and then I landed again every time at the refuge or at the playground. Finally, I went on without instructions to finally reach my start goal. The track due to very many levels pure effort, so that even I am a little sweaty. So much fitness training right after our arrival in Consdorf in Luxembourg was not planned. But I'm still alive😉

                Typical! There are several places like this in the area around Consdorf and Berdorf. Mighty rocks traversed by narrow crevasses, the exploration of which is adventurous and sometimes exhausting. And yes: it can sometimes seem like a maze.
