Just near Collpapampa, the view opens onto the valley. There are colorful granite walls in a deeply etched canyon that can magnify enormously, especially when there is an avalanche on the Salkantay. The views of the green jungle with the Santa Teresa River below are amazing. A lush forest with hummingbirds, colorful butterflies, orchids and fruit trees - it's simply breathtaking.
