The first church was built before 1586. She was born in 1596. to donate to the villages of Kielionii, Kvedariškii, Virkininkai, a lake (the priest had to speak Lithuanian, to establish a school). 1641 the estate was enlarged by Jonas Alfonsas Lackis. It is believed that in 1655 during the war with Moscow, the church was burned by the Russian army.
1663 the new church is built up to the roof. Completed in 1674. For the parish in 1744. owned 31 villages. 1770-1776 Elder Joozap Teodoras Boufalas-Daraškevičius (Polish: Józef Teodor Bouffał-Doroszkiewicz), coat of arms of Kościesza, Stakliškii elder, built the current brick church, consecrated by Archbishop of Vilnius Tomas Zenkavičius. 1818 the storm destroyed the roof of the church, demolished the towers. 1828 the towers were not yet rebuilt.
