Lovely Tauber Valley 01
Thanks to its incredibly varied route, the Tauber Cycle Path is one of only two five-star cycle paths in Germany (ADFC award).
We start our Taubertal tour in Rothenburg ob der Tauber with its towering, romantic, very well-preserved and original-looking medieval old town. Rothenburg is a world-famous sight with many monuments and cultural assets. A pearl of the medieval old town.

At Rothenburg ob der Tauber we are on the main European watershed between the North Sea and the Black Sea.
The Tauber drains into the North Sea via the Main and Rhine. A "few meters further" the Altmühl drains via the Danube to the Black Sea.
Comfortable cycling should take us in 3 days along the Tauber to Wertheim (Tauber estuary); on the 4th day we want to reach Würzburg.
Today's destination is Weikersheim.
