The Protestant village church of Barchfeld is located in the Barchfeld district of the town of Kranichfeld in the Weimarer Land district of Thuringia. The parish belongs to the Weimar church district of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany.
The church is located within the older, disused local cemetery with older, partially maintained gravestones. The new cemetery is located towards Stedten on an elevated slope.

The church in Barchfeld was built in the late 13th century as a choir tower church and was once dedicated to St. Stephen and St. Cyriacus. In 1695 and in the 18th century, changes were made to the windows and interior; in 1827, the tower was restored and the roof repaired. In 1914, the church was completely renovated.

The pulpit is from the Baroque period. The winged altar was built around 1500 and probably came from the Saalfeld workshop. In the central shrine there are figures (the crowned Mary with the baby Jesus between Saints Stephen and Cyriacus), and on the wings there are paintings (St. Catherine, St. Barbara, St. Margaret, St. Elizabeth). The two Gothic crucifixes are damaged.
