The Heidesee in Müden/Örtze

The lake was created in 1974 and was originally a pond. Today, the lake has developed into an important habitat for many plants and animals, such as dragonflies. A short walk (approx. 2.5 km) around the Heidesee will reveal many interesting things about flora and fauna.

At the Heidesee you will find peace and relaxation!

Wooden benches and tables around the lake invite you to have a picnic or just relax. In the summer months, you can dangle your feet in the cool water on one of the small jetties, watch the wonderful water lilies or simply some water striders and enjoy the sunset. No matter what time of day or year - the Heidesee always has its charm, not least because of its stunningly beautiful reflections.

A beautiful lake. Unfortunately, fishing is prohibited, except for the local fishing club. There is a small beach near the car park where you can swim and look out over the lake

A walk around Heidesee is always worthwhile.

A very beautiful spot.

Currently (April 11, 2025) the bridge over the lake is closed due to construction work.
