    Church & rock garden as well as crazy chickens in Tannenbergsthal: 🌲🌨️2nd stop was TANNENBERGSTHAL with its small rock garden where we briefly sought shelter under trees from the rain.
    🐓We discovered a few colorful and weird chickens behind the wire mesh fence that somehow reminded us of hippies.

      The church has dominated the Tannenbergsthal villagescape since 1910. The interior is predominantly Art Nouveau, which transitions to Art Deco in the chancel. The baptismal niche is a special gem. It is gilded and decorated with glaze paintings. The organ is also unique in the Vogtland organ landscape. Its romantic atmosphere from 1910 has been preserved.
