The spa town of Jáchymov is located in a forest valley at the foot of the Ore Mountains. In this place the first radon spa in the world was created. You can get rid of all your worries in this beautiful environment, which has been closely associated with mining for centuries. Whether you are here in summer or winter, you will definitely enjoy a stay in Jáchymov. Jáchymov, along with four other towns in the Czech Ore Mountains, is part of the cross-border mining region that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The origins of the spa town of Jáchymov go back more than 100 years. During this time, here at the foot of the Ore Mountains, miners discovered a source of radon in former silver shafts while mining uranium ore. Since then, visitors from all over the world have come to Jáchymov and let themselves be pampered in the spas, just like Johann Strauss, Baron Rothschild or Marie Curie once did.
