The Heinzenteich is one of the waterworks that were built to supply water power to mines in the 16th century. An artificial ditch led out of the pond, which can still be seen on the slope above the left bank of the Elias brook. Very cold, oxygen-rich and nutrient-poor water in the Eliasbach and the ponds created on it is animated by relatively poor, but interesting flora and fauna.

The Heinzenteich (Horký rybník) was created in 1540 to supply the mining technology of the Elias silver mine with additional water. It covers an area of 5000 square meters and is located below the modern mining complex of the former Eduard Uranium Mine (now Biathlon and Winter Sports Resort). The Heinzenteich has a massive dam made of rock with Originally, the water from the Heinzenteich was used to drive the water wheels in the Elias pit. A brick wheel chamber can still be seen. In the middle of the 19th century a new water channel was built on the left slope of the Elias Valley. This connected the Heinzenteich with the water inlet of the Werner pit in order to operate the conveyor and drainage pumps. over 6 m high and an underground water channel with vaulted masonry for drainage. The pond was fed by the Elias Bach and additionally by an artificial moat, which runs on the right slope of the Eliasstal.
