The Playa de Cofete beach is a feast for the eyes. It seems to be endless when you see it from the pass road and admire it. But unfortunately the beach areas on the west coast are too dangerous for surfing, swimming and diving. Underwater currents and strong winds should not be underestimated. They claim many lives on Fuerteventura every year.
