The Martinskapelle, built in 1551, was the first evangelical church in Weipert. The church was named "Martinskirche" in honor of Martin Luther. The last evangelical pastor from Weipert left the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1625.

In order to preserve the Martinskirchlein, which was built around 1551, a comprehensive interior restoration could be carried out with the help of a joint fundraising campaign by the former and current residents as well as further funds from the monument protection. On St. Martin's Day, November 11, 2006, the altarpiece reconstructed by Klaus Kastler from Nuremberg was ceremoniously unveiled. The last work has come to an end with the renovation of the outer facade.

The Martinskapelle (St. Martin's Chapel) in Weipert is the first Protestant church in the town, built in 1551 and named in honor of Martin Luther. It was the first Protestant church in Weipert and was abandoned in 1625.

The chapel was originally located on the grounds of the gravedigger's house.

Unfortunately, a tour was not possible because the chapel was locked.
