On the 75.3 meter high Katzenberg is the 12.5 meter high mill tower. It was built around 1900 in memory of the former mayor. From the tower you have a nice view of the city and the surroundings.
The opening hours are from April to October, Tuesdays 10: 00-13: 30 and Thursdays 13: 00-16: 30

Since the surrounding coniferous forest partly towered over the top of the tower, recently the treetops were drastically cut down / sawn.
At the top of the closed observation cockpit, a crossroads on the ceiling point to "nearby places" and directions.
Overall, the tower does not look well maintained.
The tower is partially bekritztelt (also graffiti) and various political stickers from the "left spectrum" point to the immediately adjacent high school ;-)
At the top of the Katzenberg there is a 150-meter-long descent - which even makes you really happy!
