The large promontory of Col Margherita can be reached directly from the San Pellegrino Pass thanks to this cable car. Col Margherita is an imposing rocky spur that juts out over the San Pellegrino Pass and offers a spectacular view of the Dolomites of Val di Fassa and Agordino.
From the summit, the view is extraordinary: in front you can make out the Creste di Costabella, Cima Uomo, the Marmolada; to the right the Sorapiss, the Pelmo, the Civetta, the Moiazza; behind the Pale di San Martino and San Lucano up to the Agner tower; to the south the porphyry chain of Lagorai.
The summit is full of attractions: here there is a fully accessible refreshment point (Rifugio InAlto) with a large panoramic terrace. On the summit there is also a theme park (Col Margherita Park) with installations and panoramic points (accessible on foot). The ticket office and the entrance to the cable car are both on the same level, raised above the road, and there are no gaps between the boarding platform and the cabin. Once you have reached your destination, exiting the cable car is easy.
