We follow the footsteps of the former narrow-gauge railway CPO Casekow-Penkun-Oder (Casekow - Szczecin Pomorzany). From the station in Penkun, the railway ran along the right side of the road. Currently, a dubious quality bicycle road to Wollin is created in its place. It's better to take the main road with cars. Just behind the village of Wollin, the tracks crossed to the left side of the road and so to Krackow itself. Unfortunately, the trail to the village of Battinsthal is not suitable for driving. It leads through fields and then is heavily overgrown with trees. However, it is still visible from the asphalt we are driving on.
In the Battinsthal itself, a stop was recreated in the form of a shed with a table and a symbolic signboard. There is a large station plain at the Battinsthal stop as there was a connection to another track system. The stop was reached by the line of the local manor railway with a rail gauge of 600mm from a nearby estate. The CPO was 750mm wide.
From Battinsthal, the trail of the CPO continues along the left side of the road. Here, the place on the tracks is suitable for driving - a well-trodden path surrounded by trees leads there. In Krackow itself, the traces of the CPO run exactly along the old track along Battinsthaler Weg. The stop itself was located in the place where the main road now runs through this town.
