A corridor monument reminds here of the sunken village Rügerrieth. Since the 14th century, the village Rügerrieth is known, which today is only a deserted village. The areas around are used for agriculture. To complete the land consolidation in 2005, the already visible from afar 3.90 m high stele was built. The limestone and sandstone stele marks the place where, according to legend, the church tower sank in the moor. Chiseled scenes are reminiscent of the former village Rügerrieth. An information board explains more detailed details and right next to it, the hiker can rest on a massive stone table and benches. A large wooden cross also recalls that in 1939 by French prisoners of war a rail link between the nearby routes Würzburg - Nuremberg and Würzburg - Ansbach should be built. The never completed railway embankment is still clearly visible today.
