The whole lot here should be renovated in the summer of 2025, but a few things have changed since my last visit. For example, there is already a beautiful plank viewing terrace with benches. You can now also find a lot of information about what is still to come. Right at the top there will be a new viewing platform with a perga structure that should provide shelter. A panoramic terrace offers a view of the Laambroek pond and the wealth of plants in the purification area. In the large hall after entering there will be a water mirror and waterfall stairs.

The former pump house dates from 1939. From here cooling water was pumped from the existing pond to the coal mine. After the mine closure, the pump house fell into disrepair. The installation consists of two separate buildings: the larger part stands on the bank, the smaller one was placed in the pond. You will find the pump house right along the tourist cycle route network between junctions 300 and 316. This piece of mining nostalgia is located in the beautiful area of the Laambroek ponds.
