Located in Bergedorf, Billetal Stadium takes its name from the nearby Bille River. It offers around 10,000 uncovered places, of which only 300 are seated. The water tower is in the immediate vicinity.

The Billtal Stadium in Hamburg's Bergedorf district (capacity: 30,000, of which only 1,500 seats) was built in 1950. This makes the Billtal Stadium the second largest stadium in Hamburg, ahead of FC St.Pauli's Millerntor Stadium. The special thing about this stadium, which has hardly been renovated since it was built, is that the playing field and the cinder track are in a valley and the spectator stands are on a natural hill. This design is probably unique and makes the stadium so special.

The name of the stadium, which was the home of ASV Bergedorf 85 until the 1960s and played in the highest German leagues in the 1950s and 1960s, derives from the nearby river "Bille". The high point was probably the football game in 1958 between ASV Bergedorf 85 and Hamburger SV in front of over 25,000 spectators, which Uwe Seeler's team won 1:4.
