The Horstergrub is a dry valley in Dutch South Limburg and the Belgian Voer region in the municipalities of Eijsden-Margraten, Gulpen-Wittem (eastern end) and Voeren.

The valley is not permanently aquifer and has a length of about seven kilometers. Part of the area has been designated as a sanctuary. Source: nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horstergrub

You can take a nice walk from Hoeve Snauwenberg (where there is also a boundary marker) towards the area (to Mheer) where you will find an information board about Horstergrub and various ways in which the area is managed, including with regard to water. The walk runs through beautiful fields and sunken roads. A large part of the domain of the Castle of Mheer is located in the Horstergrub and you are never far away from it if you follow the private road opened by the owners (provided that conditions are respected).

A grubbe is the lower part of a part, usually with bushes and often with a sunken road because the water is drained away. You will also find them in many forests in Belgium, such as the Hallerbos.
